A leading North American family-fintech platform engaged Taller to provide engineering capacity on its new microservices foundation as it scaled toward a platform-as-a-service model. Taller onboarded more than 100 engineers in under 90 days and sustained pods through 2026.

The client re-platformed from a monolith, a single codebase where everything is bound together and deployed as one piece, to a microservices architecture, where the system is split into small, independently deployable services. That shift turned partner developers into first-class customers and made a platform-as-a-service offering possible: engineers at outside companies (including partner banks, credit unions, and other businesses that wanted to offer family-banking features without building them from scratch) could now build their own products on the client’s infrastructure rather than just use its app. The high-level architecture was the client’s own; what it needed from outside was engineering capacity, enough skilled hands to ship product on the new foundation at the pace the business demanded.

Taller built the client’s interactive learning app on its Kubernetes foundation, using Helm, Docker, AWS CloudFormation, GraphQL, gRPC, AWS S3, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB. Taller also onboarded more than one hundred engineers in under ninety days through a tailored screening process matched to the client’s technology stack and operating pace.

Taller expanded engineering capacity across the new microservices foundation, sustaining pods with consistently positive performance ratings through 2026. The B2B2C banking arm grew from fifty-plus partner institutions in June 2024 to over two hundred by March 2026.
